The 2024 St. John’s Storytelling Festival is almost here!
We are so excited for this year’s event, which includes fantastic workshops with incredibly talented tellers, captivating performances, live streamed events and more. There’s something for everyone!
It all takes place from October 12-20. Mark your calendars!
This year, we have events happening in St. John’s, Mount Pearl, Torbay and our “Legacy Story Walk” in the historic Town of Cupids. We’ll also be livestreaming select events for those who can’t make it in person.

Join Colin Urwin (Northern Ireland) for this fun and practical storytelling workshop, where he will guide participants through a creative process where “something old” can be reimagined into a personalized wonder tale that is not just “something new,” but eminently tellable. Shipwrecks, fairies, ghosts, local events and lore… tales will unfold inspired by locations visited in the area of the Cupids Legacy Centre. While the event is free, cash donations to the Legacy Centre are encouraged. (In case of rain, this event will be held inside at the Cupids Legacy Centre.)
