Join us for a night of fabulous tales hosted by Ken Parsons!
The good weather is rolling in and there’s no finer way to cap off a mid-week evening than with a few friends and a few great stories. If you’ve ever seen Ken tell a tale you’ll know that more often than not he has something up his sleeve – literally! In addition to being a compelling storyteller Ken is also an accomplished magician, and lends a magical flare to many of his tales. This is an open mic event where we welcome tellers of all experience levels – first timers and seasoned performers alike. Not up for telling a tale? Not to worry! A teller is nowhere without an attentive audience. And when we’ve clued up here, why not stroll down the street to The Ship for Folk Night? What more could you ask for on a Wednesday!
ABOUT OUR HOST
Ken Parsons loves Newfoundland Labrador and it shows in his recitations. Spending summers growing up in Bonavista Bay he has created “Raisin Arm”, an imaginary Newfoundland Labrador community full of “heart warming stories” and “all kinds of foolishness”. The everyday joys and fun of local culture are always “just down the Arm” and as an accomplished magician you’re sure to see Ken pull a trick or two out of his sleeve during his stories.
