Gather round the proverbial campfire for a wonderfully warm Story Circle! Host Mary Fearon is an accomplished and dynamic teller with a brain full of Jack tales that are sure to tickle your fancy. Cuddle up with a mug of beer, glass of wine, or hot cup of coffee and revel in the joy of stories.

Whether it’s your first time or you’re a seasoned teller, we welcome you to share you tales during our open mic! And as always, we need warm and lovely listeners. Whether you are there to listen, to tell or to gather up your courage to tell a story, we’d love to see you.

Mary Fearon has been performing professionally since 1997. She has facilitated workshops for children and adults from St. John’s to Australia and places in between. Mary has worked in provincial schools telling traditional stories and working with students to develop their own style of storytelling. This process has included telling their stories through spoken word, shadow puppets, hand puppets and murals reflecting their interpretation of the story. Mary has a particular love for traditional Newfoundland material and how Jack fits into the story, how they reflect our distinct culture and the connection they have to stories told in other parts of the world.
