The world comes together for International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8 to celebrate women’s achievements and reinforce a commitment to women’s equality.

On March 8, we welcome all genders to this special story circle with priority given to respectful stories about and/or told by women.

A bit about Ainsley:

Ainsley Hawthorn is a cultural historian and author who writes about forgotten events, curious folklore, and the surprising connections between past and present. She is a columnist with CBC, a blogger for Psychology Today, and a contributor to publications like National Geographic and The Washington Post. Her work has received an Radio Television Digital News Award for Best Digital Opinion, and her nonfiction anthology Land of Many Shores: Perspectives from a Diverse Newfoundland and Labrador (from Breakwater Books) was named one of The Telegram’s Top Ten NL Books of 2021.
