May Story Circle w/ Ellen Power

St. John’s Storytelling invites you to join us May 8 at 7 pm for our Story Circle at the Battery Cafe! $5 cover, get there early to get a seat!

This open mic style event is great for storytellers and for those who love listening to stories! All storytellers will receive a complimentary non alcoholic beverage from The Battery Cafe!

A bit about Ellen:

Raised in St. John’s, Ellen’s performances are rooted in the musical heritage of her family: well-known singers and storytellers from Placentia Bay She has performed for over 20 years at festivals across Newfoundland, including the St. John’s Storytelling Festival and the Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival. Sharing stories and singing songs passed down through generations of Newfoundlanders before her, Ellen uses her voice to keep the old traditions alive.
