October 14, 2020 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Wednesday, October 14th
8:00 pm (6:30 EDT / 3:30 PDT)
The weather is cooling off and we are tumbling like the leaves into autumn, making it the perfect time to cuddle up, get cozy, and listen to some stories. With everyone’s safety and comfort in mind we are continuing to keep our Story Circles digital, so no matter where you are you can tune in to listen or share a tale.
The Story Circle is an open mic where folks are welcomed to share all kinds of tales: personal, folklore, myth, adventure, and much more! It is a bit more challenging orchestrating an open mic event virtually, so we are collecting names of tellers in advance.
**We are especially keen to hear more from our Newfoundland and Labrador tellers!**
If you would like to share a story at the upcoming circle, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org along with a sentence or two about yourself and your stories, or the story you are planning to tell.
To access the meeting, please join our mailing list (if you haven’t already): https://www.storytellingstjohns.ca/contact/
We will e-mail you the link to the meeting one hour before the Circle begins.
Please arrive between 7:55 and 8 pm! We’ll go over Zoom use/etiquette and make sure we’re all ready for our tellers at 8 pm.
If you have not used Zoom before, you will be prompted to create an account and download some software when you follow the link to join the meeting. It will be possible to enter the waiting room starting at 7:45 PM, and the host will start admitting guests at that time. If you have questions about how to access Zoom let us know!
