December Digital Story Circle

Winter’s rolling in and with it the last Story Circle of 2020! What a strange and challenging year it has been. The silver lining, ever so fine, has been connecting with magnificent storytellers and beautiful stories from across North America and across the Atlantic. Cuddle up with your cuppa and  help us close out this year of stories together, with warmth and light.

Our monthly Story Circle is an open mic event, formerly taking place live at Erin’s Pub and now virtually through Zoom! Storytellers from Newfoundland, Labrador, and other parts of Canada and the world share their stories.

If you would like to share a story at the upcoming circle, please e-mail storytellingstjohns@gmail.com along with a sentence or two about yourself and your stories, or the story you are planning to tell.

We will e-mail you the link to the meeting one hour before the Circle begins.

Please arrive between 7:55 and 8 pm! We’ll go over Zoom use/etiquette and make sure we’re all ready for our tellers at 8 pm.

If you have not used Zoom before, you will be prompted to create an account and download some software when you follow the link to join the meeting. It will be possible to enter the waiting room starting at 7:45 PM, and the host will start admitting guests at that time. If you have questions about how to access Zoom let us know!
