While it is strange not to gather and share stories in person, it has been a wonderful delight to welcome tellers from across North America to our monthly story circles! The Story Circle is an open mic event where storytellers share fabulous tales and recitations from Jack tales to personal stories, the fantastical and the heartfelt.

It is a bit more challenging orchestrating an open mic event virtually, so we will be collecting names of tellers in advance.

If you would like to share a story at the upcoming circle, please e-mail storytellingstjohns@gmail.com along with a sentence or two about yourself and your stories, or the story you are planning to tell.

There are a few spots open for NL tellers for July!

To access the meeting, please join our mailing list (if you haven’t already): https://www.storytellingstjohns.ca/contact/
We will e-mail you the link to the meeting one hour before the Circle begins.

Please arrive between 7:45 and 8 pm! We’ll go over Zoom use/etiquette and make sure we’re all ready for our tellers at 8 pm.

If you have not used Zoom before, you will be prompted to create an account and download some software when you follow the link to join the meeting. It will be possible to enter the waiting room starting at 7:45 PM, and the host will start admitting guests at that time. If you have questions about how to access Zoom let us know!
