Stories from traplines, fishing vessels, foggy outports and more. Hosted by Dave Paddon and featuring tellers Joe Goudie, Angus Andersen, Amelia Reimer, and more! Plus an open mic and a door prize. In partnership with the NL Folk Arts Society.

Master boat-builder Joe Goudie shares tales of his life and work in Labrador alongside one of his beautiful hand-built canoes in The Rooms Theater.

LIPSLIPPERY ADVENTURES: A STORYTELLING WORKSHOP with SHEREE FITCH {10:00 AM – 12:00 PM} Gower Street United Church Lecture Hall
After thirty years as published author in all genres and for all ages, veteran storyteller and poet Sheree Fitch talks about the importance of the oral tradition, how authentic voice translates into written work, and how to find balance between writing for the ear and telling the tale. Sheree will offer some guided exercises in this workshop she has used as writing teacher and storyteller for the past 25 years.

STORY WALK {2:00 – 3:30 PM} MUN Botanical Gardens
Discover trails and tales of enchantment in forests, gardens, ponds and fairy lands. Host Cathering Wright and featured tellers Sharon King-Campbell, Jack Lynch, Len Graham, and Louise Moyes will take you on a tour of the imagination during this story walk inspired by nature.
Stories are free with admission to the Botanical Garden.
In the event of rain stories will take place inside the MUN Botanical Garden building.
HOMESPUN: TALES OF RURAL NL {8:00 – 10:00 PM} Gower Street United Church Lecture Hall
An evening of tales, tunes, and recitations woven in rural Newfoundland and Labrador with Karen Carroll, Joe Goudie, and more! Hosted by Kelly Russell.
